Do not spend money on this junk

I’ve had my roku tv not even a year and weekly I’m not able to use it because the remote simply stops working.

Roku BAD

Went throught 3 devises in a year then a TV but that never turned on. Corporate wiil tell you it was an older model and you must upgrade. I suggest you avoid this company all together.

I find Roku wonderful compared to all…

I find Roku wonderful compared to all the others. I am able to watch whatever show or movie that i like that is available, Stop the show as i please and i can find the explanation of each movie or show without any hassle compared to others that seem way outdated. Thank You Roku, Merci Beaucoup Roku.

What a hunk of junk

What a hunk of junk! In the past 30 minutes trying to watch live TV on Roku it continues to pop back to the home screen at least 30 times making it completely impossible to watch anything regardless of the channel. This is not the first time this has happened as it happens frequently. Even trying to add applications on to it I experience the same thing. I know it's not my internet because I'm on the internet at the same time and it works fine. I would not suggest to anybody to buy a Roku TV.

Check Cleared! Don't Care!

I have been hearing about the Roku device for a couple of years most often through an influencer on Youtube. I looked up a little information about it online and thought it sounded interesting. I went to Roku online and placed an order. I received a confirmation letter and then nothing. I went back to the website to contact customer service about my missing order. I soon realized that they do not want to hear from you after the sale is made. The mantra in response to any problems seems to be "Check cleared, don't care! There is no contact information readily available. I eventually found after much searching where I could send an email, no email address given; you just respond on that page. I do so wish that I had read the reviews on Trustpilot before ordering. They don't want to speak to customers.... give them what they want! Spend your money elsewhere. There are multiple complaints from their community and the internet. You will get no help from them. Just remember "Check cleared, don't care."

I have owned a dozen Roku streaming…

I have owned a dozen Roku streaming sticks. Over they are unreliable. Will not buy more rokus. Constant problems with connecting, overheating, remote stops working etc. They could be so good, but fall short.

Roku TV Is invasive and bad news!

I specifically purchased a Roku TV to watch programs I love. They allowed me to ad the App. Then later disconnected it, rearranged my preferred channels, and today I cannot access my "favorites" but must scroll through hundreds of titles to find what I like each time I change to a different selection. They are controlling and making it difficult to watch anything. I no longer even like hearing the word "Roku". I selected this TV and purchased on Amazon. Bad decision. My rating is 1. Would give minus 1 if possible. They invade people's privacy.

One of the first questions asked is which language you would like to use. Usually set to English as default. I would suggest you do a factory reset if you are stuck or contact customer service.

The icons are all grayed out. I cannot fix this. Netflix told me to refresh the program. Tell me how to fix this.

A:

If you don't have your Roku set up to automatically update under system settings then that would definitely help. I would try that first and see if it works. You can also go to the channel icon ie: Netflix and instead of entering hit the * and you'll get a pop up with different options, choose update and see if that helps. The icons should not be grayed out... just saw the date on this and went oh welllll...
